Copyright Policy

The International Journal for Research in Medicine and Health Sciences (IJRMHS) follows an author-retained copyright model. Authors retain ownership of the copyright in their published work.

Upon acceptance and publication, authors grant IJRMHS a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to publish, reproduce, distribute, communicate, and preserve the published article in electronic and other applicable formats and media. This licence enables the journal to disseminate and archive scholarly content while respecting the authors' copyright ownership.

All articles published in IJRMHS are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) licence.

This licence permits users to copy and redistribute the published material in any medium or format for non-commercial purposes, provided that appropriate attribution is given, a link to the licence is included, and the material is not modified or distributed in an adapted form. Commercial use and the distribution of modified material are not permitted under this licence.

Authors' Rights

Authors retain copyright in their published articles and may:

  • Deposit the published version of their articles in institutional or subject repositories.
  • Share their published articles on personal websites and institutional platforms.
  • Use their work in teaching, academic presentations, and educational activities.
  • Reuse portions of their work in subsequent scholarly publications, books, or other academic outputs, subject to appropriate attribution and any applicable third-party rights.
  • Retain patent, trademark, and other proprietary rights arising from their research, where applicable.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that any third-party material included in their manuscripts is used with the necessary permissions and acknowledgements.

Licensing Policy

The CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 International licence governs the permitted reuse of articles published in IJRMHS.

Under this licence, users may share published articles for non-commercial purposes, provided that they:

  • Give appropriate credit to the original author(s) and identify the source of publication.
  • Provide a link to the applicable Creative Commons licence.
  • Do not apply additional legal terms or technological measures that restrict others from exercising the rights granted by the licence.
  • Do not distribute modified material, adaptations, translations, or other derivative versions under the permissions granted by this licence.

Commercial reuse, including use for commercial purposes, requires separate authorization from the relevant copyright holder. Any reuse involving third-party content may also be subject to the rights and permissions applicable to that material.

The licence does not remove or limit rights that users may have under applicable copyright exceptions or limitations.

Commitment to Copyright and Licensing Transparency

IJRMHS is committed to maintaining transparency regarding copyright ownership, licensing terms, and the permitted use of published research. The journal makes its licensing conditions available to authors and readers to support responsible scholarly communication, the dissemination of research, and the protection of intellectual property rights.

By submitting a manuscript to IJRMHS, authors acknowledge that publication is subject to the journal's applicable editorial policies, copyright terms, and licensing conditions.
